INCREASING ACCESS & UPTAKE OF HIV, NCDs, HUMAN RIGHTS & GENDER BASED VIOLENCE SERVICES

Botswana Council for the Disabled is currently implementing a project on INCREASING ACCESS & UPTAKE OF HIV, NCDs, HUMAN RIGHTS & GENDER BASED VIOLENCE SERVICES among Persons with Disabilities in Gaborone, Molepolole, Ramotswa, Kgatleng (Modipane &Mokatse), Francistown and Maun.
The project is funded by the National AIDS & Health Promotion Agency and coordinated by BONELA. The council is currently running a series of stakeholder engagement meetings at the said locations to ensure all relevant stakeholders are aware of the presence of the project and to also assist in spreading project-related information further to all project beneficiaries.
The Council, together with the Botswana Association of the Deaf, conducted a stakeholder engagement meeting in Ramotswa on 07 October 2025. The event was graced by various stakeholders including, Organisations of persons with Disability, Bogosi the, Principal Disability Officer, Disability Committee, the District AIDS Coordinator, the Primary Health, the Social Welfare Services, Police Services, and the Minister’s Fraternal.
