CELEBRATING THE INTERNATIONAL DAY OF PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES
Today, the Botswana Council for the Disabled, in collaboration with our member organizations, proudly commemorated the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. Our day began with a meaningful kgotla meeting in Sese Village, where we engaged in discussions aimed at raising awareness and promoting the rights of persons with disabilities in our communities.
The kgotla served as a platform for sharing experiences, challenges, and successes. It was heartening to see community members come together to advocate for inclusivity and support for all individuals, regardless of their abilities. We believe that by fostering dialogue and understanding, we can build a more inclusive society for everyone.
National Paralympic Games
To cap off our day, we attended the National Paralympic Games in Jwaneng. This event showcased the incredible talent and determination of our athletes with disabilities. Their performances were not just displays of athletic prowess but also powerful reminders of resilience and the spirit of overcoming challenges. We are immensely proud of our athletes and their contributions to raising the profile of persons with disabilities in Botswana.
Looking Ahead
As we prepare to commemorate the International Day of Persons with Disabilities tomorrow in Jwaneng, we invite everyone to join us in celebrating the achievements of individuals with disabilities and reaffirming our commitment to building a society that values diversity and inclusion. Let us continue to advocate for equal opportunities and support for all. Together, we can make a difference!#InternationalDayofPersonswithDisabilities #BotswanaCouncilfortheDisabled #InclusionMatters #Paralympics
